The first Test match between India and England at Headingley in July 2025 has shattered streaming records on JioHotstar. The match drew an impressive 89.1 million viewers and amassed a staggering 13.7 billion minutes of watch time.

This game marked the beginning of India's five-match Test series under the leadership of new captain Shubman Gill. It also signifies the start of the WTC 2025-27 cycle for both competing teams.

The second Test of the series is slated to commence on July 2 in Birmingham. The remaining four matches are anticipated to set new benchmarks for digital sports consumption.

The ICC World Test Championship Final 2025, which pitted South Africa against Australia, also achieved substantial viewership milestones. The match, in which South Africa clinched their first ICC title, became the most-watched Non-India Test match on linear TV, accumulating 2.95 billion minutes of watch time and reaching 47 million viewers.
